Formerly known as Missionary Aviation Institute (MAI), we have trained aviators for mission field service since 1975.MAI graduates serve around the world with Mission Aviation Fellowship, Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, NewTribes Mission, United Indian Mission, and other organizations.

What We Do

picture

We train pilots for operations in the rough and remote environments encountered in most "relief" missions: challenging terrain, dangerous airstrips, the life of a critically ill patient hanging in the balance. These scenarios require "purpose-built" traning that goes beyond simply meeting FAA requirements.

Advanced Training

picture

Our flight curriculum focuses on Advanced Training in bush terrain, and maximum-performance operations in the Cessna 206 aircraft in preparation for the Technical Evaluation (TE) required by most missionary aviation organizations.

Domestic Assistance

picture

Since emergency airlift and humanitarian relief missions are also needed here at home, we have reorganized to meet this need for flight training. Our pilots and aircraft are available in the event of domestic natural disasters or medical emergencies.

Our Name Change

We have changed our name from Missionary Aviation Institute to Mission Flight Group, Inc.
